Dubai is making huge steps in adopting blockchain technology to power an entire city.
They are currently developing methods using blockchain technology to run the city’s airport, create a citywide payments system and making their own cryptocurrency.
The Dubai Land Department is now processing and implementing all transactions on a blockchain. This means all Dubai properties will be recorded on a blockchain within two to three years.
Japan may also place its’ entire property registry on a blockchain. All properties and land registries across farmland, forested and urban areas by 2023 could be on a blockchain. That’s approximately 230 million plots and 50 million buildings!
This movement is happening now. The world will not be the same once these countries begin to adopt this technology.
